As a patient here, please know that all of our caregivers are committed to providing you with clinically excellent and compassionate care. From the Admitting Desk to the nurses by your side, we are in this together.

When you’re a patient at Kabsad you have a team of professionals who will be there for you during your stay. In addition to your doctors and nurses, you may also meet caregivers from the different departments; all of whom are committed to delivering superior healthcare services to you.



Client Privacy

As a patient, your medical information and your health is personal and private. At Kabsad Scientific Hospital we are committed to protecting your medical information. In order to provide you with quality care and comply with legal agreements, we are required by law to create a record of the care and services you receive at our hospital. Please know that all patient health information which could identify individual patients is kept private by law.

Client Rights

When you are well informed, participate in treatment decisions and communicate openly with your doctor, you help make your care as effective as possible. You have the right to:

  • Considerate and respectful care, and to be made comfortable. You have the right to respect for your personal values and beliefs.
  • Know the name of the physician who has primary responsibility for coordinating your care and the names and professional relationships of the other physicians and non-physicians who will see you.
  • Receive information about your health status, course of treatment, prospects for recovery and outcomes of care in terms you can understand.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of your plan of care.
  • Participate in ethical questions that arise in the course of your care, including issues of conflict resolution, withholding resuscitative services, and forgoing or withdrawing life-sustaining treatment.
  • Make decisions regarding your medical care, and receive as much information about any proposed treatment or procedure as you may need in order to have informed consent or to refuse a course of treatment.
  • Request or refuse treatment, the extent permitted by law.
  • Leave the hospital even against the advice of physicians, to the extent permitted by law.
  • Refuse to participate in research projects.
  • Be advised if the hospital or personal physician proposes to engage in or perform human experimentation affecting your care or treatment.
  • Appropriate assessment and management of your pain, information about pain, pain relief measures and to participate in pain management decisions.
  • Formulate advance directives. This includes designation a decision maker if you become incapable of understanding a proposed treatment or become unable to communicate your wishes regarding care.
  • Have personal privacy respected. Confidential treatment of all communications and records pertaining to your care and stay in the hospital.
  • Access information contained in your records within a reasonable time frame, except in certain circumstances specified by law.
  • Be free from restraints and seclusion of any form used as a means of coercion, discipline, convenience or retaliation by staff.
  • Continuity of care and to know in advance the identity of the persons providing the care.
  • Be informed by the physician of continuing health care requirements following discharge from the hospital.
  • Have family members (or other representative of your choosing) and your own physician notified promptly of your admission to the hospital.
  • Confidential treatment of all communications and records pertaining to your care and stay in the hospital.
  • Receive care in a safe setting, free from mental, physical, sexual or verbal abuse and neglect, exploitation or harassment.
  • Designate visitors of your choosing.
  • Examine and receive an explanation of the hospital’s bill regardless of the source of payment.
  • Know the reasons for any change in the care practitioners.
  • Know the reasons for your transfer from one unit to another or to another facility.
  • Know if there is a relationship between the hospital and other persons or organizations participating in your care.
  • File a grievance or complaint.
  • Exercise these rights without regard to sex, economic status, educational background, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sexual orientation or marital status or the source of payment for care.

What To Expect As A Visitor

As a visitor to Kabsad Scientific Hospital, you should know that your loved one is being treated with the highest levels of clinical care and compassion. Our caregivers understand how hard it is to witness the people we love being sick or injured. It can be a helpless feeling. If your loved one is admitted here at Kabsad Scientific, they are receiving excellent care and attention from our highly trained nurses and clinical supporting staff.

As a friend or family member, you play a vital role in the health of your loved one. You can provide us with information on the patient’s medical history and recent behaviors that are invaluable in the treatment process. You can also be there for moral support and positive reinforcement which is a crucial part in restoring the patient’s health.

We welcome visitors to come and spend time with their loved one as much as possible. Supportive counseling services are also available to our family members to help with the coping process. At Kabsad, we have the expertise, technology and compassion to advance treatment for your loved one to the highest level at their time of need.

For the comfort and recovery of our patients Kabsad Scientific Hospital has rules and regulations for visitors.

  • Maximum of two guests per room at a time.
  • No children under the age of 12 may visit patients or enter the nursing care areas.
  • In certain instances additional visitor requirements/precautions may be necessary due to patient condition.
